September 1st marked my one-year anniversary with WFWM. What a year it has been. We launched our Young Women’s Initiative, built our partnership with Bay Path University for our LIPPI program, reorganized our staffing structure and re-framed our vision. We took three of our young women to the United States of Women Summit and one got to speak on the national stage. Oh yes, and we also moved our offices within Downtown Springfield (for most of our staff this was the second move in nine months!).
Highlights of the year included all of the amazing WFWM stakeholders I met on my grati-tour of our four counties. The common theme that has emerged from my meetings is excitement about the future of WFWM and our objectives for the women and girls in our community, as well as the nonprofits who serve them. Another prominent theme from the grati-tour has been a feeling of contributing to something bigger through pooling each of our resources.
I have met so many amazing folks in this last year and enjoyed learning what drew each to WFWM originally.
