Elizabeth Freeman Center

On this episode of the Hear Our Voices podcast, B. Bradburd and Donna Larocque from The Elizabeth Freeman Center talk about the grant they received from the Women’s Fund. The Elizabeth Freeman Center provides assistance to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. The grant helps to fund the Money School which educates survivors about trauma-influenced financial security. Nearly 150 people have graduated from the program.

“Sexism is alive and well; patriarchy is alive and well. We’re still at a point where having dedicated services and funding for women and anyone who identifies as a woman or are on the female end of the spectrum is important if we want to become the society we dream of where there is a more equitable distribution of opportunity and resources.”
