WFWM Application for 2021 General Funding

The Women’s Fund of Western Massachusetts (WFWM) is pleased to announce upcoming grant opportunities, with up to $250,000 available for organizations that serve women and girls in Berkshire, Franklin, Hampden, and Hampshire Counties. Funding awarded during the next five months will be made available from the following programs: the Fund for Me too Movement and Allies, Emergency Grants, Young Women’s Initiative, and a general, open call for proposals.

Instructions for 2021 General Funding:

• Write a Letter of Intent (LOI) – The letter of intent should be written in narrative form. Please address the specific criteria listed in the application preview (linked above) in your letter. The letter of intent is limited to one page in length.
• Submit your LOI with application questions – Once your letter is ready, please click the “apply now” button below and complete the corresponding application questions.
• All applications must be submitted via this online form. Incomplete or late applications will not be reviewed.
• After you have submitted your application, your browser will navigate to an application confirmation page named, “WFWM 2021 General Funding – Application Complete”.
  • You will also receive a confirmation email from info@mywomensfund.org with the subject line, “Confirmation of Your Application to WFWM 2021 General Funding”
  • If you have not received this email, check your spam folder for this message to ensure your application has been submitted.

Key Dates and Deadlines:

Applications are due by Friday, March 5, 2021.

Instructions for Letter of Intent:

• Provide a brief overview of your organization’s mission and how your work aligns with our strategic pillars for women and girls in Western Massachusetts: economic security; parity in positions of power and leadership; and freedom from violence, harassment, and abuse. Read more about our strategic plan.
• What are you doing to create change in these specific areas now? How does your work, if at all, address systemic changes over the long-term?
• The board and staff of the Women’s Fund of Western Massachusetts are prioritizing support to organizations that are led by women and/or BIPOC. Is your organization BIPOC and/or women-led? Are there BIPOC or women that currently serve on your board? If not, how does your organization compensate for this leadership disparity?
