Ann by Holland Taylor Starring Jayne Atkinson

WAM Theatre’s production of ANN at the Tina Packer Playhouse in Lenox will be providing 25% of ticket proceeds to the Women’s Fund’s LIPPI program and The Denise Kaley Fund. This past summer we were one of two organizations chosen to receive these funds as part of WAM’s “double philanthropic mission.”

According to WAM’s website, ANN is “an intimate and spirited portrait of Ann Richards, legendary Governor of Texas.” Jayne Atkinson will play the former governor and has appeared as recurring characters on 24, Criminal Minds, and House of Cards. The play is written by Holland Taylor, an award-winning actress and playwright best known for her work on The Practice and Two and a Half Men.

The Women’s Fund will use its portion of the proceeds to provide scholarships to Berkshire county participants in the 2018-19 Leadership Institute for Political and Public Impact (LIPPI) cohort. Donna Haghighat, Women’s Fund CEO stated “We’re very excited to partner with WAM not only because our missions align but also because LIPPI is all about giving voice to those women’s stories we don’t always hear. Ann Richards was a woman ahead of her time.”

The performance runs from October 19 to 28 and tickets start at $35.
Some member of WFWM will be in attendance at the last matinee, Sunday, September 28 and hope to see you at that performance. Let’s make sure each performance sells out to maximize our benefit! Purchase your ticket at www.wamtheatre.com
