Monica-Borgatti, Chief Operating Officer


Monica comes to the Women’s Fund with a decade of nonprofit management experience. As a key member of the leadership team, she oversees the programmatic and administrative efforts of the Fund, working closely with the CEO and Board of Directors to meet the Fund’s operational goals. She takes the lead in developing and managing organizational and programmatic budgets and helps to create and implement strategies and policies for the Fund to ensure efficient operations and legal compliance.  In addition to HR and finance, Monica oversees the community investments and strategic initiatives of the Fund.

Prior to joining the staff of the Women’s Fund, Monica had been a longtime volunteer for the Women’s Fund serving on several of the organization’s committees. A native of western Massachusetts, she currently serves as president of the board of Empty Arms Bereavement Support where she also volunteers as a peer companion. Monica is the immediate past president of Women in Philanthropy of Western Massachusetts and has acted as a team coach for Leadership Pioneer Valley, a program she completed in in 2016. She is an alumna of Bay Path University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Science degree in Nonprofit Management and Philanthropy. In 2011, Monica was named a 40 Under Forty honoree by BusinessWest. In her free time, Monica enjoys painting, exploring craft beers & breweries, and canning.
