Ismary Santiago-Lugo joined the Women’s Fund of Western Mass. during the summer of 2026 as the Director of Community Engagement. She leads efforts to elevate the visibility of the Women’s Fund of Western Mass., strengthen community relationships, and advance philanthropic support. She develops and implements integrated communications, storytelling, engagement, and convening strategies that advance the Fund’s mission and amplify the voices of women, girls, and gender-diverse individuals across Western Mass.

Before joining the Women’s Fund, Ismary was the Director of Education at New England Public Media, where she oversaw and led the implementation of Media Lab, a youth media training initiative with a focus on audio, video, and digital storytelling. She helped to equip high school students and college interns with media literacy and production skills. Ismary supported the station’s social media efforts by producing videos and posts as well as managing NEPM Media Lab’s social media accounts.

Ismary has over 10 years of storytelling, video production, video editing, and educational experience. She completed a bachelor’s degree in communications at the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón in Santurce, Puerto Rico. In 2016, Ismary relocated from Puerto Rico to Western Massachusetts where she resides with her daughter and husband.
