In Lieu of LIPPI

Update on the Leadership Institute for Political and Public Impact

Likely, you’ve heard or read somewhere that we’ve suspended the Leadership Institute for Political and Public Impact (LIPPI) this year. However, that doesn’t mean we aren’t still doing this important work, it just means we are trying to do it in a more meaningful and impactful way. In 2021, The WFWM is committed more than ever to empowering women to seek leadership positions for themselves professionally and within their community. While the details are still in the planning stages, we are exploring several exciting partnerships that will bring a broader range of options to the women in Western Massachusetts

We are in the process of working out logistics for a Pathways to Power program that will provide scholarship funds for leadership programs of your choice. You tell us which program is focused in the area most appropriate for you and apply for a scholarship to help ease the burden to attend.

We are also in talks with a couple of local and state organizations to sponsor their existing programs to make them accessible to even more women. One is an eight-week professional leadership program with one on one coaching and the other focuses specifically on supporting women of color who are leaders in the nonprofit sector.

As more details are available, we’ll be sure to share them. Stay tuned!
