It’s a bittersweet moment for the Women’s Fund to have to say good-bye to Julie Holt, our Office and Events Manager. Julie started with the Women’s Fund in 2003 as a temporary employee and it only took a few months before we realized that she was a perfect fit for our small, but growing office. In her nearly 16 years with the Women’s Fund, Julie has always been ready with a kind word or smile and provided an unflappable, calm-in-a-storm, presence when things got crazy. She has been an invaluable source of Women’s Fund knowledge and history for the staff and dedicated to the work that we do. We’re going to miss her!
Julie has accepted the position of Executive Assistant to the Executive Director at Five Colleges and her last day at the Women’s Fund will be Friday, December 21st.
“I have had a rich and fulfilling experience. I have seen us through many transitions, both challenging and rewarding, and I am so proud of the work and mission we have accomplished together. I can’t begin to express how blessed and privileged I am to have worked with so many amazing women who all have their own stories, and strengths, and passions. I have been inspired by ALL of you. I remain committed to the mission of the Women’s Fund and will watch eagerly as the work continues…but through the eyes of a faithful supporter rather than as a staff member.”
Julie is preparing the staff for her departure and our Program Intern, Kelley Bryant, will ease the transition by becoming our Project Coordinator. Starting in January, she will take on some office support tasks in addition to continuing her work with program support. Kelley has a Masters in Higher Education Management from UMASS Amherst and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Accounting Concentration from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. We’re breathing a tiny sigh of relief.
We know that Julie will be hard to replace, but we wish her all the best with her new adventure!
