As we bid farewell to our esteemed colleague, Donna, it’s time to reflect on and celebrate her incredible contributions to the Women’s Fund of Western Massachusetts. Over the years, Donna has demonstrated unwavering dedication, unparalleled expertise, and a genuine passion for fueling progress for gender equity, leaving an indelible mark on our organization.
A Legacy of Achievement
Donna’s tenure has been marked by numerous milestones and achievements. Her remarkable ability to connect with community partners, donors and funders while driving successful initiatives and fostering meaningful partnerships has been nothing short of extraordinary.
These are just a few of Donna’s accomplishments:
- The launch of the Young Women’s Initiative. In 7 years, 100 young women have learned social justice, leadership and economic empowerment skills. This initiative has resulted in their adoption of philanthropy as a tool for social change as they have become benefactors and philanthropists.
- $5.5+ million raised. Through Donna’s strategic approach she has opened doors to new opportunities and growth for women, girls, and gender-diverse individuals in this region.
- 288 women leaders participated in the Leadership Institute for Political and Public Impact (LIPPI). Many participants have run for public office, been appointed to statewide committees and staffed political campaigns.
- $400K+ awarded this year. Organizations representing all four counties of Western Massachusetts have been the recipients. These organizations align with race and gender justice and equity, and our strategic pillars: economic security, equality in positions of power and leadership, and freedom from gender-based violence.
