Ambassador of Gender and Racial Equity
The Women’s Fund of Western MA’s (WFWM) general fundraising dollars have allowed our Chief Executive Officer, Donna, to be an ambassador for the CFWM COVID-19 Response Team of the Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts.
In that role our Women’s Fund is able to ensure that a gender and racial justice lens is being used to gather feedback and determine resource distribution. To date, the Women’s Fund of Western MA has advised on $63,000 in funding to domestic violence providers in the Pioneer Valley from the Massachusetts COVID-19 Fund.
The WFWM has been regularly convening all domestic violence service providers in Western MA to learn their urgent needs so that we may bridge gaps with other funders both locally and statewide, and to provide a critical opportunity for them to share their own barriers and innovations with each other.
We have already seen them adapting some of each other’s practices. We will persist in all of this work to support and invest in the women, girls, and families of Western MA.
